Port Sunlight Village, Lower Rd, Birkenhead, Bebington, Wirral CH62 5EG
The Lady Lever Art Gallery was built by the industrialist and philanthropist Willam Lever, 1st Viscount Lever, and opened in 1922.
He endowed the gallery to showcase his vast collection of paintings sculpture and artifacts. It is named in memory of his wife Elizabeth Hulme (Lady Lever) who had died in 1913. The gallery’s alternative name is Hulme Hall.
This is the spiritual home and principal performance venue for the Port Sunlight Orchestra. The setting is superb and the acoustics are quite wonderful.
The Gallery is situated within the picturesque Port Sunlight Village in Wirral. There is ample parking, wheelchair access, a shop, cafe, and expert staff and audio guides.
